Tobul Accumulators

Looking for a good source for Tobul Accumulators? Then you’ve come to the right place. Hatfield and Company has been a representative of Tobul Accumulators for more than 25 years.

Hatfield and Company can help you choose the right option from the selection of Tobul Accumulators. Their years of experience as a manufacturer’s representative means they understand the entire system and can help you accumulate energy and smooth out pulsations in your fluid power system. Tobul Accumulators’ designs have a proven 45-year track record and provide the most comprehensive offering of piston-type accumulators in the industry. Choose from a competitive selection of bladder-type accumulators in most industry-standard capacities.

Hatfield and Company can find accumulator solutions to help you store energy.

Hydro-pneumatic accumulators incorporate a gas with a hydraulic fluid. The gas can be compressed to high pressures and low volumes. The potential energy stored in compressed gas can be released on demand. This energy is similar to a raised pile driver ready to transfer its tremendous energy upon the pile.

Accumulators also help absorb pulsations.

Pumps are used in most fluid power applications to generate power that is used or stored in a hydraulic system. This power is generally delivered in a pulsating flow. A properly located accumulator will substantially cushion pressure variations. Tobul Accumulators, having an aluminum piston of low inertia as standard equipment, are superior in absorbing either high or low frequency pulsations.

They cushion operating shock.

It is common for the driven member of the hydraulic system to stop suddenly, creating a pressure wave which is sent back through the system. The shock wave can develop peak pressures many times greater than normal working pressures and can cause system failure or objectionable noise. An accumulator’s gas cushion properly placed in the system minimizes shock.

Accumulators maintain pressure.

Ri sing or falling liquid temperatures causes pressure changes to occur in a hydraulic system. There may also be a pressure drop due to leakage of hydraulic fluid. An accumulator will compensate for pressure fluctuations with small changes in the amount of hydraulic liquid.

Let Hatfield and Company help you find the right Tobul Accumulator for your needs. They have been a manufacturer’s representative and distributor of filtration, loading, instrumentation, valves, steam/air and other piping related products since 1959. Hatfield and Company works with customers to find solutions that generate overall operating cost savings. Their goal is to provide the best service in the industry.
